IMECCHI-DATANETWORK

IMECCHI-DATANETWORK is an initiative launched by the IMECCHI group in October 2015, during the annual meeting in Manchester. The aim is creating and testing a distributed data infrastructure to conduct multicentric observational studies in a network of databases [1]. The infrastructure exploits the features of the open source software TheMatrix [2].

The data network currently involves 6 databases from countries across 4 continents: Asia (South Korea), Europe (Denmark, Italy, Switzerland), North America (Canada) and Oceania (New Zealand).

The initiative is currently funded by the participating institutions.
